Bring Someone Who Matters to You

Clarity. Confidence. Connection.™

We warmly welcome you to bring a spouse, family member or close friend to your appointment. It’s part of how we care for you, and many of our patients find it makes the visit easier and more helpful.

Hearing loss and tinnitus are significant medical conditions. When someone important to you understands your diagnosis and treatment plan, it makes a real difference, so we want the people who matter most to you involved in your care.

Why we invite a companion

Better together, from the very first visit

Support in the room

A familiar, reassuring presence can make your visit feel more comfortable, especially if it’s your first time talking about your hearing.

Two sets of ears for your plan

Your companion can help you remember the details, ask questions you might not think of, and talk through your options with you afterward.

They often notice first

The people closest to us frequently notice hearing changes before we do. Their perspective helps us understand how your hearing affects everyday life.

Who should I bring?

Choose the person you talk with most, or whoever will be part of your day-to-day life with better hearing.

  • Spouse or partner
  • Adult son or daughter
  • Close friend
  • Caregiver
  • Family member

When you schedule, just let us know who you’re planning to bring.

Coming on your own?

That’s completely fine. We’ll take great care of you, explain everything clearly, and make sure you leave with answers you can easily share with the people who matter to you.

Questions

Bringing a companion: common questions

Do I have to bring someone to my hearing appointment?

No. It’s an invitation, not a requirement. Many of our patients find that bringing someone makes the visit easier and more helpful, but you’re always welcome to come on your own.

Why does HearBest encourage bringing a loved one?

Our Chief Audiologist, Dr. Judy Olson, recommends it because hearing loss and tinnitus are significant medical conditions. When someone important to you understands your diagnosis and treatment plan, it makes a real difference, so we want the people who matter most to you involved in your care.

Who should I bring?

Bring the person you talk with most, such as a spouse or partner, an adult son or daughter, a close friend or a caregiver. The people closest to us often notice hearing changes before we do.

Can my companion be with me during the appointment?

Yes. Your companion is welcome to join you, and with your permission we’ll include them as we review your results and talk through your treatment plan.

Should I tell you who I’m bringing?

Yes, please. When you schedule online or by phone, just let us know who you’re planning to bring so we can welcome you both.
