For single-sided hearing loss, CROS EON R pairs with an Audéo EON R on your better ear: it picks up sound on the side that can’t be helped and sends it wirelessly to the hearing ear, so you can follow conversation from both sides again and hear what’s happening on your “bad side” in the car or at a table.

Already wear Phonak? Sphere Infinio is still supported
Audéo Sphere Infinio™ and Infinio Ultra remain excellent hearing aids, and we continue to fit, program and service them, along with older Audéo Lumity and Paradise models. If yours are working well, you don’t need to replace them. If you’re due for new devices, EON’s smaller case, longer battery and newest speech processing are the reasons to step up; bring your current pair and we’ll let you hear the difference side by side.

What’s the difference between Audéo EON Sphere and Audéo EON R?
Both are rechargeable receiver-in-canal hearing aids on Phonak’s new EON platform, with the HYPERSONIC chip, AutoSense OS AI 8.0 automatic adjustment, up to 38 hours per charge and Made For All connectivity. EON Sphere adds Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0, a real-time AI network that separates speech from loud background noise. If you regularly eat out, attend gatherings or work in noisy settings, Sphere is the one to try; if your days are mostly quiet, EON R may be all you need.
Do I have to buy the newest model?
No, and we’ll tell you if you shouldn’t. Audéo Sphere Infinio and Infinio Ultra are still strong hearing aids that we fit and service, and many patients are best served by a lower technology level or a different brand entirely. The evaluation comes first; the device recommendation comes out of it.
How is EON different from Audéo Sphere Infinio?
Infinio Sphere used two chips, one dedicated to its AI noise network. EON runs everything on the single HYPERSONIC chip. Phonak reports EON Sphere is 25% smaller and 20% lighter than Sphere Infinio, lasts up to 38 hours per charge, adds Auracast broadcast audio and WindBlock 2.0, and makes Spheric Speech Clarity available at three technology levels rather than only the top ones.
Which Phonak is best for restaurants and group conversations?
Audéo EON Sphere. Its Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0 is built specifically for speech in loud, complex noise, and it’s the model Phonak tested against competitors in that setting. Your audiologist will help you weigh whether that extra processing matters for how you actually spend your time.
Can I stream phone calls and audio with Phonak hearing aids?
Yes. Phonak’s Made For All connectivity works with iPhone, Android and virtually any other Bluetooth device for hands-free calls, music, video meetings and TV, and EON adds Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast broadcast audio for venues that offer it. The myPhonak app lets you adjust settings from your phone. Compatibility with your specific phone is confirmed at your fitting.
Does Phonak EON have a telecoil for hearing loops?
No. Audéo EON does not include a telecoil. If you rely on hearing loops at church, theaters or public buildings, tell your specialist so we can compare EON with models that have one, and talk through whether Auracast will cover the venues you visit.
Do Phonak hearing aids need to be programmed for my hearing loss?
Yes. Phonak hearing aids are professionally programmed to match your hearing test results and comfort preferences, then verified with Real Ear Measurement and fine-tuned at follow-up. The same hearing aid can sound very different depending on who programs it.
Does insurance cover Phonak hearing aids?
