Do I have to buy the newest model?
No, and we’ll tell you if you shouldn’t. Starkey Edge AI and Genesis AI are still good hearing aids that we fit and service, and Starkey’s G Series AI offers essential technology at a lower cost. The evaluation comes first; the device recommendation comes out of it.
How is Omega AI different from Starkey Edge AI?
Omega AI moves from Edge AI’s G2 processor to the new G3 Neuro Processor, adds DNN 360 directional hearing, generative AI features like TeleHear AI, a more durable waterproof coating on rechargeable styles, longer battery life and newer connectivity like the Auracast assistant and Google Fast Pair.

Can I stream phone calls and audio with Starkey hearing aids?
Yes. Omega AI streams from Apple and Android devices, supports Google Fast Pair, and uses Bluetooth LE Audio for the Auracast assistant, so you can tune into broadcast audio at airports, gyms and other venues. The My Starkey app also handles calls, programs and Push-to-Talk voice notes. Compatibility with your specific phone is confirmed at your fitting.
Do Starkey hearing aids track health or detect falls?
Omega AI can track activity, monitor respiratory rate, guide Balance Builder exercises and detect falls with alerts to people you choose, all through the My Starkey app. These are wellness features, not medical devices, so keep working with your doctor on any health concerns.
Do Starkey hearing aids need to be programmed for my hearing loss?
Yes. Starkey hearing aids are professionally programmed to match your hearing test results and comfort preferences, then verified with Real Ear Measurement and fine-tuned at follow-up. The same hearing aid can sound very different depending on who programs it.
